PAYMENT REQUIRED FOR WORK-RELATED TRAVEL |
 |
Many employees are required to travel as part of their jobs. Generally, the time that employees spend traveling to work or to attend work-related activities counts as worktime. See Memo 2200 Definition of Worktime, Memo 2400 Travel During Workday, and Memo 2410 Travel Outside Workday.
If employees' travel time is considered worktime, their company must reimburse them for their work-related travel expenses and pay them for that time.
